You guys all know from my last FOTD post that I've been having a lot of fun lately playing around with my BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette. I'll be doing a review on this palette within the next week, but for now I just wanted to do a couple tutorials using this palette. The BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette has 40 colorful and neutral shades, so I decided to combine the two in this tutorial and show you a wearable way to wear color. I chose to use an aqua and brown and I absolutely love the contrast between the two!

Instagram Obsessed!
I just wanted to make a quick post to let you guys know, in case you haven't noticed the link in the sidebar, that I have recently joined Instagram.
Needless to say, I'm obsessed! It's such a fun way to interact with people and allow them to see glimpses into your everyday life, and vise versa.
I'm still getting the hang of it, but of any if you would like to see more from me (makeup photos, outfit of the days, hauls, places I go, food I eat, cute little things my pets do, and other random things) definitely go follow me!
My Instagram name is @kailanmarie.
If you don't have an Instagram account, you can also see photos I post via Webstagram, if you'd like.
My link for that is located in the sidebar titled 'Instagram'.
I'd love to share stuff, interact with, and get to know you guys, so don't be shy!
Here's some photos that are on my Instagram!

June Empties
This is the first time I've done an 'Empties' post before. I love seeing products that people have finished up because it shows you different products they've used up, that they may not have liked or not have ended up being in a favorites post/video. So with that being said, I finished up quite a few products over the month of June. I'll just be sharing what I thought about the product and also whether or not I'll be repurchasing them!
Simple Moisturizing Gel Facial Wash: I was so excited to try this cleanser. I like that it's directed towards sensitive skin and that it legit only had 5 ingredients in it. I thought because it wasn't harsh and was for sensitive skin that it was going to work great for my acne prone skin and be this miracle skin product, because sensitive skin products actually clear up my skin more than products that contain salicylic acid. Unfortuntely, I was wrong. Not sure if it was this product in particular, but the entire time I used it I broke out like I was in high school again and never had a clear face for more than a day. Once I finished this and stopped using it, my skin immediately cleared up. Again, not sure if it's because I stopped using this or was because of the new cleanser I was using. I also hate the packaging. There's nothing to stop the product from spilling out. And since it's a product that requires being set down with the dispenser on the bottom, I'd open it to a cap full of product, which is extremely wasteful. I will not be repurchasing.
Suave Dry Shampoo: This is the first dry shampoo I've ever tried. I got it because it was so inexpensive (under $3). I don't wash my hair everyday because it helps my hair grow faster and also because with my hair being so long, it's a hassle. So how I ever lived before dry shampoo is beyond me. I love this stuff. It sucks up the oil in my hair and makes it feels like it was freshly washed. I love the smell too; It smells exactly like grapefruit! This works so well for me and is so cheap that I doubt I'll branch out and try different dry shampoos, but I do plan on trying the Sauve Keratin Dry Shampoo, which is only a dollar more. I have repurchased this already after finishing it this past month. Next time I run out, I'll be trying the Keratin version.
Garnier Fructis Full Control Anti-Humidity Hair Spray: This is my favorite hairspray ever. What I look for in a hairspray is for it to hold my tease for a long period of time and to not make my hair crunchy, since I use hairspray as a finishing spray as well. This hairspray definitely does both of those things for me. I love the smell too. I've repurchased this too many times to count and will continue to do so. I also have repurchased this already since running out. I usually get Ultra Strong Hold (Number 4), but I got Extreme Hold (number 5) when I repurchased and it works great as well.
Bath and Body Works Be Enchanted Shower Gel: If you guys didn't know, I used to work at Bath and Body Works. This past Halloween, they released a new scent called Be Enchanted. I fell in love with it! It's my second favorite scent that they carry behind Paris Amour. Paris Amour is more feminine and floral, whereas Be Enchanted is more on the fruity side, being described as frosted pomegranate. I would definitely repurchase this as well as any other products in this scent because I absolutely love it. This shower gel in particular, as well as all other scents from BBW are great quality. They lather up incredibly well. I notice that I use less of this than my regular Olay Body Wash and still get a better lather. When I used this, I would apply the Be Enchanted Body Lotion after my shower so that the scent was stronger and lasted longer.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser in Light: Favorite concealer! It covers so well, while still being so lightweight, which to me, is all I can ask for in an undereye concealer. I do however, hate the packaging. I can't stand it, actually. At first it was fine, but now it's really bugging me. It's so unsanitary and if you use to much pressure, after awhile the sponge time will rip. I also feel like it forces me to use too much pressure under my eye. I love it and I will continue to repurchase (I had a backup already waiting for me), but I wish they would change the packaging. I think they used to sell this stuff in a squeeze tube previously, so I doubt Maybelline is planning to change the packaging of their Age Rewind line anytime soon. Let's start a petition, shall we?
MAC Lipstick in Honeylove: Honeylove is one of my favorite nude lipsticks. It's not a light nude, which is what I like about it. I feel like nude lipsticks can sometimes be too light and wash you out, but this lipstick will never do that. Because it's a darker nude, it suits tan and darker skin tones. If you're looking for a nude, but don't want to get one as light as Myth or Creme D'Nude, then Honeylove is perfect. My skintone isn't too tan normally, so I prefer lighter nudes, but on days when I can't decide what to wear on my lips, I just go to this because it matches everything. Though it's not one at the top of my list for lipsticks I want to purchase, I will be repurchasing.
MAC Paint Pot in Painterly: Painterly Paint Pot is a holy grail product for me. I've been using it for years and I cannot live without it. It works amazingly as an eyeshadow base, but the reason I prefer this over something like Urban Decay Primer Potion (tried, used up, never repurchased, probably never will) is because it's a tinted product. It matches my skin perfectly and gives my eyelid a black canvas to work on, which is great because being Italian, I have a lot of dark pigmentation under my eyes as well as on my lids. I also have some veins to cover as well. I will always repurchase this.

June Favorites
It's that time of the month again! I haven't done a "Favorites" post in a couple months and I do apologize for this month's being late, but if you follow me on Twitter you know that my Macbook is broken at the moment. Something made the screen look cracked, without it actually being cracked on the surface and unfortunately, I just can't afford to buy a new one right now. So I apologize in advance for my lack of posts as well, I'll try and update when I can!
Now on to the favorites!
Nivea Kiss Of Smoothness Lip Balm- Best. Chapstick. Ever. I find myself being really picky about chapstick, especially if it has a smell/taste because I get tired of it really easily. I love this stuff. It literally feels like silk on your lips and there's no scent, which I like. It doesn't really improve your lips after using, but it gives a smooth base to apply underneath lip products or even just on it's own.
MAC Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden- I'm not sure if it's just mine that is like this or this is how the product is, but I find it very sheer and for that reason, I never really liked this. I decided to give it another go this month and I've really been liking it. Before I was using it as a contour, but it was hardly showing up. The way I use this now is to blend out my contour shade and bronze certain areas of my face (temples, jawline, and down my neck). Using it this way goes hand in hand with the fact that it's not overly pigmented, since I can bronze my entire face without looking like an orange weirdo.
NARS Blush in Orgasm- This is another product that I didn't initially like. I bought it because of the hype behind it a couple years back. Now I can't even imagine why I didn't like this because I'm absolutely in love with it. It's a beautiful peachy-pink with golden shimmer and it makes my skin look glowy and healthy. It's the perfect summer blush.
MAC Eyeshadow in Quarry- This is one of my favorite MAC eyeshadows ever. I love using this as a crease shade and a transition shade. It's an almost exact dupe of Urban Decay Tease Eyeshadow, which is in the Naked 2 Palette, but is also sold separately. The color of it's hard to describe- it's like a dusty grayish brown, but it's got a purple tint it. It gives a more smokey look than your usual brown transition shade.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Primrose- Favorite lipstick of the moment and one of my favorite lipsticks of all time. It's such a flattering shade of purple-y pink. It's moisturizing as well, so I can wear it on it's own. Sometimes when I want to make the color stand out more, I'll apply Maybelline's 14 Hour Lipstick in Perpetual Peony, which is a matte, longer lasting version of this lipstick (the color is SO similar) and then I'll apply this lipstick over top of it. Since the Maybelline lipstick is more pigmented, I still get that same color on my lips, but the moisturizing properties of Primrose lipstick at the same time. LOVE. Click HERE to see a full review that I did on this lipstick.
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails (I'll add shade name later)- I've been really loving white nails for summer. They look amazing against a tan and actually make you look tanner than you really are..on your hands at least.. I really like the applicator of this polish as well. The brush is longer, so I feel like I have more control.
Inglot Eyeshadow in Matte 318- This is my favorite eyeshadow EVER. I'm sure you guys already know this, since it's always mentioned in my FOTD's/Tutorials. It's an insanely pigmented matte white. I use it as a lid shade everyday. I know it might seem kind of hard to wear such an intense unnatural shade everyday, but it's probably not what you think. When you blend in a crease shade when this is on the lid, it brings down the intensity of it and makes the eye look bright and awake. Since my eyes are brown and I have small, hooded eyes, this eyeshadow really makes them stand out. I couldn't live without this. If you're looking for a matte white shadow, this is your best bet. Please do not waste your money on MAC Gesso- it's about as pigmented as eraser.
MAC Mineralized Blush in Warm Soul- When I'm not wearing NARS Orgasm, I'm wearing this. This was my go-to blush last summer and I've been reaching for it just the same this summer. It's a peachy-bronze shade that looks amazing with a tan! It's a bit on the shimmery side, but it makes your cheeks look glowy and sun-kissed. If you're an NC25 or above, GET THIS BLUSH. You won't regret it. (Paler/fairer skin tones can still pull this off, don't worry)
MAC Eyeshadow in Brun- I ran out of my Milani Eyebrow pencil this month and have been using this to fill in my brows. It doesn't give me the more defined brows that I prefer, but gives a softer, more natural look and it matches my brows perfectly because it's kind of an ashy brown. I also love using this shadow to add definition in the crease. Quarry in the crease, with this Brun in the outer crease/outer V is a gorgeous combo.
Olay Quench Daily Lotion Plus Shimmer with Cocoa Butter- I LOVE this stuff. Usually I just use regular cocoa butter (I'm stretchmark prone like you wouldn't believe!), but I decided to get this for 3 reasons: It had cocoa butter, I thought the shimmer would be a nice touch for summer, and because there was an Olay lotion I used to get that smelled AMAZING and was in purple bottle, but I think they may have discontinued it because I haven't found it for years. This is super similar to that, except there really is no smell. The shimmer shows up slightly, but fades away quick. It's barely noticeable, to be honest. This lotion makes my body so silky smooth. HG status, for sure.
